Returns, replacements, upgrades, and shipping policy:
Thank you for ordering with us. We hope you're happy with your purchase. If you're not completely satisfied within the first 30 days, you may return the order to us for a full refund, replacement, or we can exchange it for something different. We are proud to offer flexible solutions in the event you find yourself with a computer that doesn't quite fit your specific needs. You ordered a computer for a reason, allow us to help you find the right one for the job at hand! Our Customer Support Team will take care of you and provide the guidance you need. Please see below for more information on our return policy and process.
Problem with your order?
We strive to ship only genuinely functional and useful computers, but if something was damaged during shipping, or if you encounter any other problem with your order, we want to help! You must report any problems to our Customer Support Team within 30 days of the date you placed the order, or you will lose the possibility of receiving a refund (remember you still have aOne Year Warranty even if you're no longer eligible for a refund!).
During weekday business hours you can call our toll-free line at 844-466-9142 (press option 1 when prompted) or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Customer Support is standing by to offer technical advice and troubleshooting guidance. Our techs can usually find a solution that doesn't require a return or exchange of the entire computer.
What if I have to return my computer?
If the tech support representative determines that a return or exchange is going to be necessary to resolve your problem, don't worry! We will assist you throughout the process with making the necessary arrangements. The rep will inform you about your options from that point. Usually a 1-to-1 exchange for the same model computer is all that's needed. However, if the original computer's performance isn't living up to your expectations then we can explore upgrade options where you simply pay the difference and we take care of the rest (instead of having to go through the full refund process before making an entirely separate purchase).
Whether you need more processing power for multitasking and productivity, more powerful graphics hardware for gaming, or additional storage for your pictures, music, and movies, we can help you find a computer with capabilities to fit your niche. We are flexible and will provide as many options as possible to ensure a solution is reached that you're 100% happy with.
What about shipping costs?
In the event that a return is necessary, as long as you contacted us within the initial 30-day window after receiving your computer, we can provide a courtesy pre-paid shipping label which will cover the cost of return shipping. Outside of 30 days it will be the customer's responsibility to arrange the return shipping and provide their return tracking number to Customer Support.
In either case, simply follow the rep's instructions as to exactly what needs to go in the box to be shipped back, as there may be parts or accessories such as keyboard, mouse, LCD monitor, and cables which in some cases you'll need to hang onto while waiting for your replacement computer to arrive. Make sure to pack returning items securely, and if possible please use the original bubble wrap or heavy-duty air bag. Once the shipping carrier is in possession of the package, please notify Customer Support so we can move to the next step in the replacement process.
What happens next?
After Customer Support has verified that your return shipment is in the mail and on its way back to us, we can then proceed with preparing and shipping out your replacement items.
What if I'd rather return everything for a refund?
If you are within the 30-day window, then you are eligible for a refund after all items have been returned to Discount Computer Depot. We are unable to issue refunds outside this initial 30-day period, though your One Year Warranty coverage remains in effect, and we can provide a replacement item instead in that case.
Refunds are typically issued the same day the returned merchandise is received at our facilities, though it can take up to 1-2 business days in some circumstances. Once the funds are released from us back to your bank or other payment service, processing may take 3-5 additional business days before you see the refund reflected in your account.
Anything else I need to know?
Discount Computer Depot uses FedEx as our primary shipping carrier for all computer orders, and occasionally USPS for smaller lightweight items. In both cases, the tracking number for your purchase will be provided via an automated email after the computer or other item has gone through our full production and quality control process, which typically takes 1-2 business days. Make sure the email address you provide on your order is correct so you don't miss any updates! As soon as the item has made it to the end of our production process, a shipping label will be created and printed for the outbound shipment to the address you provided during checkout. It is at this step that the automated email containing your tracking number is triggered.
We are located in east Texas. On average and for most states in the United States, FedEx takes 3 days to get the item from our facility to your door (this is after our production and quality control process). If you are located in Texas or other southern state, shipping time can be as little as a next-day or 2-day delivery.
